Playoff Dogs Taste Better!

John Lester and the Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 3-0 in a four-hit shutout. And Arthur got one more chance to take in a hot dog!

This was a surprise visit so Arthur was unable to properly prepare for this review. He was also dealing with multiple loose teeth and gaps where other teeth had already previously fallen out. But he was a champ and powered through!

The evening was rather magical and we got swept away in the warm summer evening goofing around and watching the game. Arthur was so inspired that he started telling a tale about a potential loophole in baseball that would allow him to score at every at-bat! By the time we found the end of that story we had completely forgotten to do the hot dog review.

Or... DID we?!?

The Experience: 6.20

THE WIENER

7 out of 20: The sausage is all-beef which is pretty good for a routine concession dog

THE HOT DOG

7 out of 20: This hot dog is the workhorse of Wrigley. It's good, but not meant to be great.

THE SERVICE

7 out of 10: They're moving product here like at any major-league concession stand, but we still got a smile with your dog.

THE VALUE

7 out of 10: MLB concession dogs aren't known for being priced reasonably, but what are you gonna do?

THE ATMOSPHERE

10 out of 10: You can't beat a warm night with your loved ones enjoying a post-season hot dog!

THE LOCATION

8 out of 10: If you're here, you're lucky. You don't get many of these moments in life.

THE "LAGNIAPPE"

8 out of 10: The Cubbies won - isn't that a little something extra?

THE "JE NE SAIS QUOI"

8 out of 10: The night was magical and there was electricity in the air.

BUN-LENGTH SUMMARY

n

The Cubs were winners and so were we with this post-season concession. This hot dog wasn't going to win any awards but the overall experience will go down in the hall of fame.

Some concerns that may be significant for certain patrons may have been omitted as "less relevant" to the theme of this review. Please consider additional sources of information before planning your visit.
